In cooperation with Obton, Novar has constructed a solar roof on the Sontplein in Groningen. It was put into operation in mid-2022.

Location of the solar roof
The solar roof is located on the Sontplein in Groningen and is owned by Aprisco Vastgoed in Assen. In the assembled store building opposite the IKEA you will find, among others, the stores of Media Markt and Leen Bakker. On top of the building, 2,944 panels have been installed with a total capacity of 1 Megawatt peak.
Realization
The solar roof was realized by Novar in cooperation with Obton. Aprisco Vastgoed's solar roof could officially be put into operation in mid-2022 and has since provided enough electricity to supply over 250 households!
Since its connection in 2022, the solar roof has been providing power for over 250 households. The nearly 3,000 solar panels laid together account for a peak capacity of about 1 Megawatt peak. A great contribution to the energy transition!
