About solar farm Roodakker - Buren

Novar is currently working with energy cooperative eCoBuren to develop solar farm Roodakker in the municipality of Buren. The project site is located north of the A15/Betuwe line, near Kapel Avezaath. The proposed plot falls within the municipality of Buren, where there is space for local and innovative projects of 10 hectares. Through 23,699 panels, renewable energy will be generated to provide green power to over 4,800 households.

The design was coordinated with the energy cooperative, local residents, municipality and other stakeholders. On Jan. 10, 2023, the permit for this solar farm was submitted to the municipality.

Collaboration

Novar brings with its experience in solar-on-land projects the necessary practical and technical expertise on solar farm development, realization and management, where eCoBuren guarantees the local knowledge, contacts and social involvement. Through this collaboration, we jointly stand for a participatory process, where the environment is involved in the process, as well as financially, as well as socially in the development of this intended solar farm.

Landscaping

The integration of Roodakker solar farm into the landscape is a very important pillar for the realization of the farm. Many discussions have been held with the direct neighbors and the municipality about this. This plan has now been further elaborated and discussed at the residents' evening. On the eCoBuren website you will find the document with the complete landscape plan. After consultation with local residents, additional bushes have been added to the ground wall.
