Novar is currently working with energy cooperative Voorne Putten Energie and the landowner to develop solar farm Seggelant in the municipality of Voorne aan Zee. The project site is located east of the city of Brielle, north of Seggelant business park and is approximately 17 acres in size. By means of 34,150 panels, sustainable energy will be generated to provide over 7,300 households with green power.
The design is currently being coordinated with the energy cooperative, landowner, local residents, municipality and other stakeholders.
Because the location connects to the business park, the Seggelant solar farm can be fitted in well with the landscape. The location also offers opportunities for stimulating biodiversity that connects to the Vrijheidsbos forest above. The plans for landscaping this farm include, for example, a new ditch with a nature-friendly bank, herb- and flower-rich grasslands, an additional avenue of trees and the placement of reed beds near ditches. Bee hives may also be placed at the farm.
