About this solar roof

The roof is owned by Mr. Martens and leased by Reshare, which is part of the Salvation Army. Reshare has been involved in the collection of used clothing and textiles for more than 100 years. At this location in Oosterhout, Brabant, clothes from clothing containers are sorted and distributed. Great value is placed on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in everything the organization does. Besides closing the textile chain, Reshare creates jobs for people with a distance to the labor market. With the realization of this solar roof, the organization also contributes to the energy transition.

How does this solar roof contribute to the energy transition?

On the roof of Reshare in Oosterhout we have installed 1,530 solar panels. This generates over 600,000 kWh of green electricity per year. This is equal to the annual consumption of 182 households. Furthermore, the construction of this solar roof reduces 382 tons ofCO2 emissions per year.
