Novar has realized a solar roof in the middle of the meadows on the Ulsderweg in Beerta. This project is located in the municipality of Oldambt, province of Groningen. 1,130 panels have been installed on the roof of a cattle farm.
Why
At Novar, we believe we can improve the world with sustainable energy. More green power, fewer CO2 emissions and a nice return for you. We feel the urgency to take steps now to make the Netherlands sustainable on a large scale. That is why we develop, build and manage large-scale solar parks. On land, roofs and water.
Location
The self-built stables are located in the meadows of Beerta. Beerta is a village in the municipality of Oldambt. During construction, the roof was reinforced in some places, this way the solar panels could be placed.
These 1,130 solar panels generate a capacity of 440,700 Wp. This will provide 146 households in the municipality of Oldambt with green electricity through this solar roof.
The original owner built the stables himself. The roof has been reinforced in some places, so the structure is now strong enough to accommodate the solar panels. During development, the roof owner emigrated to Canada. There he started a new dairy farm. Because of the good cooperation, the project was further developed with the new owner. Construction started when the barns were as good as empty. Meanwhile, cows are running again and renewable electricity is being generated at the same time.
The 440,700 Wp generated provides 146 households with green electricity. This contributes to the climate goals of the municipality of Oldambt.
